Explore the Roedelius music archive
In 2015 the Berlin-based Museum “Haus der Kulturen der Welt” organized a three-day festival for Roedelius titled “Lifelines", undertaking an intensive exploration of Hans-Joachim Roedelius´ work, from music to the visual arts.
On this occasion, Hans-Joachim´s eldest son, Julian contributed an interactive exhibit on the vast oeuvre of his father. Visitors could explore the complete musical oeuvre and listen to all of the albums.
Ever since, he wanted to bring this project into the worldwide web. For Hans-Joachim Roedelius' 86th birthday, the first release is now ready.
Together with his partner Nadja Schmidt, Julian Roedelius is constantly working on expanding this digital biography, which should once become a complete digital archive of all of Joachim's work and provide playful means of approaching the artists' life with interactive elements like timelines, maps, concert images and much more.
This website is a work-in-progress and is constantly updated and expanded.

- Finalize archive of all released albums with artwork, songlists, release date and further information on album
- Information on collaborating artists
- 30 seconds audio samples for each song available to everyone
- Full audio samples for Patreons & supporters on select albums (pending clearance)
- Exclusive excerpts from Roedelius' autobiography
- Blog articles on his work and certain albums
- Roedelius spoken word: audio sequences on each album and its historical context
- Interactive access to Joachim's Life and work
